Sunburst Equestrian Newsletter - April 2010

Newsletter April 2010

April began at the Sydney Royal Easter Show where I had Koyuna Sun Set in Section 1, Koyuna Sun Dancer & Koyuna Sun Shine in Section 2 and Sun Showers in the Young Event Horse class. It was an extremely successful Show for me with each horse winning at least one class. Sun Set starred with 2 wins and a second to be the “Best Performed" Part 1 Horse & more importantly won the Selector Series event, the EA Cup, and gained funding for a European campaign...on the condition that I didn’t campaign for the Event team!
Sun Dancer also had 2 wins to be the “Best Performed" Part 2 Horse, while Sun Shine won the Mini Prix and Sun Showers won the Young Event Horse, 6 yrs & under – all of which combined for me to win the “Most Successful Jumping Rider” award for the Show.

I then had a reasonably successful Albury Horse Trials CIC*** on the way home from Sydney Royal, with Sun Shine 2nd, just a fraction behind Chris Burton & H P Leilani, and Sun Dancer 5th in the CIC*** - before finishing the month with teaching clinics both at home and in Port Augusta.
