 'Riley' was bred by Denise Dawson at Acacia Ridge Stud out of a Mikado mare, Nikki, that we had bred who also the dam of "Sun Shades." A chunky chap, Riley excels in the both dressage and showjumping arena where his paces and type catch the judges' attention. His first official event start was unfortunate where he fell having got quite bogged in deep going prior to a fence which was later pulled out though he made amends with an excellent performance to win at the Lakes & Craters International at the end of the season. 2006 was a strong year for Riley seeing him upgrade to 1* level after a win at Albury, his first start for the season then winning or placing at all 1* starts. 2007 plans aim to upgrade him to 2* level in the Autumn before progressing to a CCI** in the Spring season.
